AMBER Alert Issued for Missing 9-Year-Old Durham Boy

Authorities have issued an AMBER Alert for a missing 9-year-old boy in Durham. Geon King was last seen with 34-year-old Mariah King, who police believe has potential custody issues.

Durham, NC - An AMBER Alert has been issued for 9-year-old Geon King, who was last seen with a woman identified as Mariah King, 34.

According to Durham Police, Geon was last seen on March 8th at approximately 7:00 p.m. in the area of Alston Avenue and Holloway Street. He is described as a black male, approximately 4'0" tall and weighing 60 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair. He was last seen wearing a red and black jacket, blue jeans, and black and white sneakers.

Mariah King, the person of interest in this case, is described as a black female, approximately 5'5" tall and weighing 140 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair. She has a tattoo of "King" on her left arm.

Police believe that Mariah King may have custody issues and may be a threat to Geon's safety. They are urging the public to be on the lookout for both individuals.

Geon and Mariah King may be traveling in a gray 2015 Kia Soul with North Carolina license plate number EWR-2860.

Anyone with information about Geon's whereabouts is asked to call the Durham Police Department at (919) 560-4423 or 911.

The Durham Police Department is working closely with other law enforcement agencies to locate Geon and Mariah King. They are also using all available resources to search for the missing boy.
