Their ordeal began on June 2nd, when they attended a nightclub and were approached by an Uber driver who offered to take them to an "afterparty" at a nearby hotel. Upon arrival, they were escorted to the VIP section, where an array of food, hookahs, and a bottle were provided unrequested.
Within 20 minutes, the party abruptly ended, and the brothers were approached by an individual who invited them to a yacht party. Despite initially declining due to financial constraints, they were assured that they would be his American guests.

However, the night took a sinister turn when a woman approached Joseph and offered him a drink. After consuming it, he claims to have virtually no recollection of the rest of the night, apart from brief flashes of memory.
The next morning, the brothers found themselves in the back of a police car, with accusations of assaulting an officer, resisting arrest, damaging a patrol vehicle, and alcohol consumption. Despite being released on bail, they remain confined to the country and could face years behind bars if found guilty.
The brothers have fervently denied the allegations, claiming that they were drugged and set up. They have appealed to the State Department for assistance, but have been met with limited response.
"They're aware of the situation," Joseph stated during an interview with Fox News. "They pretty much just keep telling my family and friends that are emailing them like… 'We're keeping tabs on it.' But that's not what we need. Our lives are at stake."
