Stacy Lee Drake, a 50-year-old fugitive wanted in connection with three homicides in Oklahoma, has been apprehended in a wooded area of Morrilton, Arkansas. The arrest occurred around 10 a.m. Thursday, according to Arkansas State Police.

Drake is also implicated in the killing of a 62-year-old man in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, according to AL.com. He was taken into custody without incident and is currently being held at the Conway County Detention Center.

Investigators had described Drake as "armed and dangerous" and advised the public not to approach him but to contact law enforcement immediately if they encountered him. His last known address was in Birmingham, Alabama.

The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation (OSBI) had identified Drake as a person of interest in a double homicide in Gans, Oklahoma, on Tuesday. Deputies from the Sequoyah County Sheriff's Office discovered an adult male and female inside a business with fatal injuries consistent with homicide. The vehicle Drake is believed to have stolen from the area was later recovered in Morrilton.

Arkansas State Police subsequently identified Drake as the suspect, noting that he had purchased camping gear and was believed to be armed and dangerous. The manhunt involved the Morrilton Police Department, Conway County Sheriff's Office, Arkansas National Guard, and the Arkansas Division of Community Correction.

The arrest marks the culmination of a multi-state effort to apprehend Drake, who was wanted on felony warrants for aggravated robbery, carjacking, and murder. The Morrilton Police Department, Conway County Sheriff's Office, Arkansas National Guard, and the Arkansas Division of Community Correction played instrumental roles in his capture.
