Nate Moreno expressed the outpouring of respect and admiration his father garnered, noting, "So many people held him in a high regard. He was respected by so many people… He was able to carry his craft at making people laugh all across the nation, and even around the world."

Moreno's legacy extends beyond his own performances, as he actively supported and nurtured aspiring comedians. His son emphasized, "He was the type of guy that [if] he saw a little something in you, and he had some stage time, he no doubt would have given you a couple of minutes…Just to kind of see how you could blossom."

One of the many comedians to benefit from Moreno's mentorship was Ken Jeong, who expressed his profound gratitude in a heartfelt tribute. "Rudy Moreno, the Godfather of Latino Comedy, was the first person to book me at the Ice House. In fact, the first time my wife ever saw me do standup was at the Ice House on Rudy's show. All this ultimately led to me doing my Netflix special at the Ice House, thanks to Rudy Moreno constantly supporting me and letting me get stage time on all of his shows."

Moreno's comedic talents extended to the realm of television, where he appeared in numerous popular series such as "Pacific Blue," "Arrested Development," "ER," "Everybody Loves Raymond," and "George Lopez." He maintained a close association with the Ice House Comedy Club in Pasadena, where he had a virtual residency.

Nate Moreno fondly recalled the countless times his father poked fun at him and his sister Veronica during his performances, a testament to their close bond.

Rudy Moreno's legacy will be cherished by his wife Arlene, his children, Nate and Veronica, and two grandchildren. Arrangements for his memorial services are currently being finalized and will be communicated to the public in due course.
