A CNN poll has revealed that President Biden is trailing former President Trump in several crucial swing states, sparking concerns about his re-election campaign.

CNN's Harry Enten expressed shock and disbelief after a New York Times/Siena College/Philadelphia Inquirer poll showed Biden trailing Trump in Georgia, Nevada, and Arizona.

"Frankly, for the Joe Biden campaign, these numbers are an absolute disaster," Enten said, highlighting Trump's significant lead in these states.

The poll indicated that Trump was leading by six points in Arizona, nine points in Georgia, and 13 points in Nevada among likely voters. Enten described these margins as "huge" and noted that Nevada had not been lost by a Democrat since John Kerry in 2004.

The poll also showed Trump ahead by three points in Pennsylvania and one point in Wisconsin among likely voters. Biden held a narrow one-point lead in Michigan.

Enten explained that Trump's coalition was becoming more diverse, with a six-point increase among non-White voters since the 2020 election. The Sun Belt states, which are more diverse than Michigan, Wisconsin, and Pennsylvania, could potentially benefit Trump in 2024.

Despite Trump's current advantage in the race to 270 Electoral College votes, Enten emphasized that Biden still had a pathway to victory.

The poll also revealed that Biden and Trump were tied among 18-29-year-old voters.

A Fox News poll conducted in mid-April found similar results, with Trump leading in Georgia and Michigan and the candidates tied in Pennsylvania and Wisconsin.

The poll results have raised concerns about Biden's re-election prospects, as he narrowly won all six of these critical states in 2020. Should Trump win them in 2024 and hold onto other states he won that year, he would retake the White House.

The poll also showed that Trump would win over 20% of Black voters, which would be the highest margin for a GOP candidate since 1964.

These polls indicate that the race for the presidency is far from decided, and both candidates will need to work hard to secure victory in 2024.
