As the devastating Hurricane Milton wreaks havoc on Florida, leaving a trail of destruction and loss, President Joe Biden's actions have come under scrutiny for their apparent political undertones. Fox News host Jesse Watters has voiced his concerns, highlighting the president's focus on criticizing former President Donald Trump instead of addressing the dire situation at hand.
"Biden spent almost as much time talking about Trump as he has the hurricane," Watters said on "Jesse Watters Primetime." "He wants to run for re-election so badly, but he can't. And it's driving him nuts."

The president's apparent obsession with Trump, Watters argued, is a diversion from the urgent needs of Floridians who are struggling without power, food, water, and shelter. "Natural disasters are an excellent litmus test for a leader," he said. "It tests the leader's decisiveness, organization, anticipation, compassion, and statesmanship. Joe Biden is using Milton to play politics."
In contrast to Biden's perceived shortcomings, Watters also criticized Vice President Kamala Harris for her lack of involvement in the crisis. "For three and a half years, she's sat on the sidelines for every hurricane while Biden ran the show," he said. "She's never been interested in leading."
Harris's absence from the forefront of the disaster response, Watters argued, is indicative of her lack of interest in handling logistics, resource allocation, and other aspects of crisis management. "You can't save a drowning person with dreams and aspirations," he said.
The vice president's desire to maintain a low profile, Watters suggested, stems from her own political ambitions. "She's running for president," he said. "But it looks bad that she's sitting on the sidelines while Biden and Trump and DeSantis, you know, handle business."
The combination of Biden's political maneuvering and Harris's lack of leadership, Watters concluded, is a disservice to the people of Florida who are suffering the consequences of Hurricane Milton. "Poor little Kamala's feelings are hurt," he said. "She's left out. But the more she tries to help, the more she just gets in the way."
As the death toll continues to rise and the destruction becomes increasingly evident, the question remains whether Biden and Harris will set aside their political differences and focus on the urgent needs of the Floridians who are trying to rebuild their lives.
