Country music legend Billy Ray Cyrus has accused his estranged wife, Firerose, of spending $96,000 on his American Express business card without authorization. The allegations are part of an emergency motion for a temporary restraining order filed by Cyrus.

Country music icon Billy Ray Cyrus has filed an emergency motion for a temporary restraining order against his estranged wife, Firerose, accusing her of fraudulently spending $96,000 on his American Express business card. According to court documents obtained by Fox News Digital, Cyrus claims 37 unauthorized charges were made by Firerose, known legally as Johanna Hodges.

Cyrus alleges that Firerose has been using his card to make unauthorized purchases since 2022. "As a result of these fraudulent charges… I am concerned that Ms. Hodges is in possession of other information that she may use to make fraudulent, unauthorized charges to my business and personal credit cards and accounts," Cyrus stated in his filing.

Firerose, however, has contested Cyrus' claims, stating that there was "no emergency" and that she had access to the American Express card in question since October 10, 2023.

"To claim Wife has made 37 unauthorized charges is untrue," Firerose's attorneys wrote in a response filed in court. "Throughout the divorce proceedings, the parties are to live as per the status quo during the marriage. Wife was simply living as she has since October 10, 2023, and Husband has no right to cut her off."

Cyrus had previously agreed to provide Firerose with financial support during the divorce proceedings. In an order filed on May 24, Cyrus specifically agreed to pay $500 per night for 10 nights so that Firerose could "stay at a hotel or Airbnb." Additionally, Cyrus agreed to pay $5,000 per month for Firerose to spend on "suitable" housing for a period of 90 days or until the dissolution of the marriage.

Cyrus filed for an annulment from Firerose in May, citing "irreconcilable differences" and alleging "inappropriate marital conduct." The grounds for annulment were listed as "consent to marriage was obtained by fraud." Their date of separation was listed as May 22, 2024.

"Husband charges that he is entitled to an annulment since he gave consent to marriage based on fraud by the wife, that had he known he would not have entered into the bonds of matrimony with his wife," the petition stated.

An insider told People magazine that Cyrus now believes Firerose "isn’t the person he thought he married." "He believes that she married for other reasons but love," the source said. "He believes she married him so he can take care of her financially. They’ve had drama and trust issues about money."

Firerose and Cyrus were married in October 2023 on the musician's Tennessee property. "10/10/23 will always be the beautiful, joyous day that our two souls united as one in holy matrimony," they shared on social media at the time. "It was the most perfect, ethereal celebration of love we could have ever imagined."
