Misty McMichael, Steve's wife, shed tears as she turned her husband toward his bronze bust. "That's you, baby, forever," she said.

McMichael amassed 847 total tackles and recorded 92.5 sacks during his time in the league. He holds the Bears franchise record for consecutive games played with 191.

"I want to thank the Chicago Bears and the fans," Kathy said. "Chicago is the best city to play football in. I played 15 years in the NFL and loved every minute of every down. I played with the greatest players and the greatest defense to this day."
