Kelce, known for his exuberant personality, took to the podium and joked, "My fellow Americans, I'm going to be honest, President Biden, they told me I'd get tased if I came up here, so I'm going back to my spot."

Last year, Kelce made headlines when he approached the podium and declared, "So, I've been waiting for this," before Mahomes intervened. This year, the president invited Kelce to speak, and the tight end delivered a memorable and humorous address.

"It's an honor to be here with my teammates, with our coaches, and with our entire Chiefs family," Kelce said. "We've had an incredible journey, and we couldn't have done it without the support of our fans. You guys are the best in the world."

Kelce's address was met with laughter and applause from the crowd, including President Biden. The tight end's brother, Jason Kelce, a former Philadelphia Eagles center, praised Travis on social media, writing, "Man, Im not gonna lie, that was tight. Well done @tkelce, doesn't get much cooler than that!"

Chiefs CEO Clark Hunt also spoke at the event, emphasizing the importance of unity and teamwork. "This team is a reflection of our city and our region," Hunt said. "We are a diverse group of people, but we come together for a common purpose. We are a family, and we are proud to represent Kansas City."

President Biden presented the Chiefs with a football helmet, and the team posed for photos on the South Lawn. Pop star Taylor Swift, a known Chiefs fan, was not present at the celebration, as she is currently on tour in Europe.

However, Swift did attend the 2024 Super Bowl and celebrated on the field with Kelce after the Chiefs defeated the San Francisco 49ers in overtime. Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker, who criticized President Biden over his stance on abortion during a commencement speech, also attended the White House event. However, Biden did not acknowledge Butker or his criticism.

The Chiefs have expressed their determination to win a third consecutive Super Bowl. Mahomes declared during a podcast appearance that the team will "do it again" in 2024. "Next year in New Orleans, we're going to do it again," Mahomes said. "Put it on the table. We're going to do it again. I'm telling you now."

The Chiefs open the NFL season on Sept. 5, when they host the Baltimore Ravens.
