Former *NSYNC member Chris Kirkpatrick expresses his readiness to support Britney Spears if she ever needs to talk or confide in someone, despite their current lack of closeness.
Chris Kirkpatrick, a former member of the iconic boy band *NSYNC, has extended his support to Britney Spears, stating that he is always available to listen if she needs someone to talk to.
Despite not being as close as they used to be, Kirkpatrick remembers a special moment he shared with Spears in the past. He recalled filming a video for one of her tours, where he dressed in drag as her hairstylist and surprised the audience upon revealing his true identity.
Kirkpatrick and Spears were both prominent figures in the pop music scene of the late 1990s and early 2000s. *NSYNC had released their debut album in 1996, solidifying their place in pop history with hits like "I Want You Back" and "(God Must Have Spent) A Little More Time on You." Spears, on the other hand, debuted in 1999 with her iconic single "... Baby One More Time."
During that period, many pop stars socialized in the same circles, including Spears and *NSYNC. Spears had earlier connections with Justin Timberlake and JC Chasez, members of the boy band, through their appearances on Disney's "The All-New Mickey Mouse Club." Both acts shared the same record label, Jive Records.
In 1998, Spears reunited with her former friends as she opened for *NSYNC on a series of tour dates. It was around this time that Timberlake, according to Spears, began showing romantic interest in her. Their relationship was confirmed to the public in 2000.
However, rumors of a breakup started circulating in 2002, which both confirmed that spring. At the time, Timberlake expressed his love and heartbreak to People magazine, while Spears attributed their split to their demanding schedules.
