The Coast Guard received a distress call from the man's wife at approximately 11:30 a.m. The man had been sailing alone when his boat ran aground.
The Coast Guard launched a rescue boat from Station Brunswick and a helicopter from Air Station Savannah to assist the man.
The rescue boat crew found the man on the beach near his boat. The helicopter crew hoisted the man into the helicopter and transported him to the hospital.
The man's injuries are not considered life-threatening.
The Coast Guard is investigating the cause of the grounding.
