The suspect was eventually located and taken into custody. He was transported to a local hospital for a medical evaluation. Due to the ages of the suspect and victim, police are withholding further information.

Oxford Academy officials emphasized their unwavering commitment to the safety of their students, faculty, and staff. "The campus is safe and secure," Cocchiola assured. "Communication channels are open, and we will provide updates as more information becomes available."

The school's high tuition, which stands at $86,000 for the 2024-2025 school year, reflects its exclusive nature. However, the recent incident has raised concerns among the Westbrook community.

Resident Sidney Holbrook expressed shock over the attack, calling it "very unusual" for the town. He described Oxford Academy as a "wonderful educational facility" that attracts students from around the globe.

The investigation into the incident is ongoing, and authorities have declined to release further details at this time. The school has expressed gratitude for the swift response of law enforcement and emergency services.
