Americans for Prosperity Action (AFP Action), the political arm of the influential Koch conservative network, is unleashing a multi-million dollar ad blitz across battleground states to support Republican Senate candidates and attack their Democratic opponents ahead of the November election. The campaign, part of AFP Action's "firewall strategy," aims to prevent "One Party Progressive rule."

The group is spending $5.75 million on the ad buy, which will target Democratic Senators Tammy Baldwin (WI), Bob Casey (PA), Jon Tester (MT), Sherrod Brown (OH), and Jacky Rosen (NV). Republican candidates Eric Hovde (WI), Sam Brown (NV), Bernie Moreno (OH), Dave McCormick (PA), and Tim Sheehy (MT) will receive $1 million to $1.25 million in ad support each.
The digital ads will also air on television in Wisconsin, Montana, Nevada, Ohio, and Pennsylvania. The campaign features 10 different video ads, two for each state, highlighting economic concerns and attacking the Democrats' records on inflation.

In one Wisconsin ad, "Betrayed," residents express their dissatisfaction with the Inflation Reduction Act passed by the Biden administration. "Tammy Baldwin spent a trillion dollars on an Inflation Reduction Act. It did not help us," says Jackie B. in a testimonial.
AFP Action Director Nathan Nascimento stated, "Voters are tired of Washington doubling down on failed policy and then handing them the bill. But that’s what every incumbent senator has done during their time in office — some of them for decades."

The group specifically criticized the senators' support for the Inflation Reduction Act, claiming that it has exacerbated inflation and harmed Americans. "The last thing our country can afford is to send these senators back to Washington for more of the same failed policies," Nascimento added.
In response to the ad campaign, spokesperson Matt Keyes for Sherrod Brown's campaign stated that Bernie Moreno is attacking Brown to distract from his own record of labor violations. Maddy McDaniel, a spokesperson for Bob Casey's campaign, emphasized Casey's efforts to lower costs and fight corporate greed.
