The Flyers came out strong in the first set, taking an early 5-0 lead. The Ramblers fought back to within two points at 10-8, but the Flyers held on to win the set 25-19.

Dayton continued to control the match in the second set, jumping out to an 8-3 lead. Loyola Chicago again rallied to within two points at 17-15, but the Flyers once again pulled away to win the set 25-21.

The third set was all Flyers, as Dayton took an early 10-3 lead and never looked back. The Ramblers made a late run to cut the deficit to 23-16, but the Flyers closed out the set and the match with a 25-17 victory.

The Flyers were led by senior outside hitter Dayton Grice, who had 12 kills and a .381 hitting percentage. Senior middle blocker Jack Walsh added 10 kills and a .455 hitting percentage, while senior setter Luke Sheehan dished out 30 assists.

The Ramblers were led by senior outside hitter Theo Spencer, who had 10 kills and a .333 hitting percentage. Junior middle blocker Jake Salisbury added nine kills and a .316 hitting percentage, while junior setter Andrew Lyons had 24 assists.

The Flyers improved to 12-4 overall and 6-1 in the Midwestern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association (MIVA). The Ramblers fell to 9-6 overall and 3-3 in the MIVA.

The Flyers will next be in action on Sunday, March 5, when they host the Lewis Flyers at 1 p.m. ET. The Ramblers will next be in action on Saturday, March 4, when they travel to Fort Wayne, Indiana, to face the Purdue Fort Wayne Mastodons at 7 p.m. ET.
