Two Detroit natives interviewed by Fox News Digital expressed support for Vice President Kamala Harris. "All my friends that are Trumpers only think about themselves and we have to think about the world," said Ron. "I really like Kamala Harris because she's got a lot more compassion. It's not about yourself. It's about everybody," he explained.

Mandela, another Detroit resident, echoed Ron's sentiments, stating, "I think it's time for history to be made," referring to the possibility of a woman president.
A recent poll by the New York Times and Siena College suggests the race is indeed close in Michigan, with Harris holding a slight lead over Trump, 48% to 47%.

However, residents also weighed in on who they perceived as the stronger leader. Mandela, despite his support for Harris, believes Trump is "stronger." "I think that Trump is not going to let anybody run over us," he said.
Keandre, on the other hand, believes Harris is the better leader, predicting that Detroiters "are going to lean toward Trump because he's already been president."

Jeff, a Detroit native, expressed strong support for Trump. "Not even a question. Donald J. Trump is the best leader we have to lead this nation forward," he declared. "All of us can become better off financially under Donald Trump. Kamala has no clue about fiscal policies in this country," he added.
Austin, a native of Romeo in Macomb County, also believes Trump would be the stronger leader. "I think that he would be the stronger leader, in my humble opinion," he said.
