Combs' legal team filed a motion to dismiss Rodney Jones' lawsuit Monday in the Southern District of New York, alleging that Jones and his lawyer have engaged in "a campaign of blatant falsehoods" to "generate media hype" and "extract a settlement."

The motion asserts that Jones' lawsuit is an attempt to "dress up a run-of-the-mill commercial disagreement as a salacious RICO conspiracy." The court documents, obtained by Fox News Digital, are nearly 100 pages long and include "countless tall tales, shameless celebrity name-drops, and irrelevant images."
Erica Wolff, an attorney for Combs, vehemently denied Jones' allegations, calling the lawsuit "pure fiction" and "a shameless attempt to create media hype and extract a quick settlement."

"There was no RICO conspiracy and Mr. Jones was not threatened, groomed, assaulted, or trafficked. We look forward to proving — in a court of law — that all of Mr. Jones’s claims are made-up and must be dismissed," Wolff told Fox News Digital.
Fox News Digital reached out to a representative for Jones for comment, but has not yet received a response.

Combs' team has filed motions to dismiss four other pending sexual assault lawsuits against the rapper in recent months.
Jones, a music producer who worked with Combs on his latest album, "The Love Album: Off the Grid," initially filed a lawsuit in February, accusing the rapper of sexually assaulting him and forcing him to perform sex acts with prostitutes.

In March, Jones amended his complaint, adding allegations that Combs participated in a "sex trafficking venture." The amended complaint also accused Cuba Gooding Jr. of "sexually harassing and assaulting" Jones at a party on a yacht rented by Combs in the U.S. Virgin Islands in January 2023.
Representatives for Gooding did not respond to Fox News Digital's request for comment at the time.
