Speaking exclusively to FOX 5's Duarte Geraldino, the victim, who prefers to go by the name Gloria, described the incident as "scary," particularly as it occurred in front of her own building. The surveillance video, obtained by FOX 5, shows Gloria walking her dog on a sidewalk near W. 66th Street and Amsterdam Avenue at around 7 p.m. when a man dressed in black walks past her. A few moments later, the man turns around and walks back towards Gloria from behind, then unleashes a swift punch that lands squarely on her face.

According to the report, Gloria hit her head on the side of the building before losing her balance and falling to the ground. The next clip in the video shows Gloria on the ground as the man strides away, leaving her dazed and injured. Bystanders rushed to her assistance, offering aid and comfort.
Despite the trauma of the assault, Gloria remains steadfast in her determination to continue her daily routine. "I'm not going to hide in my apartment," she told the news station defiantly.
