Country singer Elle King is expecting her second child with partner Dan Tooker. King revealed the news on Instagram, along with the sex of their unborn baby: a boy.

In a heartwarming video reel, King revealed that she and Tooker are expecting a baby boy. Dressed in blue overalls and a cowboy hat, the singer was overcome with emotion as she celebrated the news.

"Doubling down," King captioned the clip, as bright blue confetti and balloons filled the room.
King also shared a snap of herself proudly displaying her baby bump while holding her son, Lucky Levi, on her hip. "I am so happy," she wrote. "Thank you for all the love and support as @tattooker (partner Dan Tooker), Lucky and I grow our family. #tableforfour."

King's pregnancy announcement comes on the heels of her recent revelations about her childhood relationship with her father, actor Rob Schneider. In an interview on the "Dumb Blonde" podcast, King shared that she had gone "four or five years without talking to" her father and described some of the "toxic and very silly" situations she experienced growing up.
Despite the public attention surrounding her remarks, King maintained that she did not regret sharing her experiences. "I was not trying to hurt him. A lot of people said, 'How could she say that about her family?' and 'Everything needs to be behind closed doors.' No, it doesn't. Sometimes you have to just say things and get them off your chest so that you don't have to carry it for the rest of your life," she told People magazine.

Schneider offered a public apology following the release of the podcast episode, but King said that it did not mean anything to her. "Your dad is one of my childhood crushes," Bunnie XO, the podcast host, told King. King described her relationship with her father as having a unique ebb and flow: "I put out my record, and people finally started asking about my dad," she said. "My dad called me, and was like, ‘Don’t f---ing talk about me in the press.'"
"If I would ever spend a summer with my dad, it would be on a movie set. I would just get lost in the shuffle. If I ever messed up a shot, if I ever was talking, like, I would get in f---ing trouble."

When asked if she ever felt like she could connect with her father, King said, "Not till I was much, much older." She recalled an incident in which she was sent to fat camp and got in trouble for not losing any weight after spraining her ankle. "Very toxic and very silly," she said.
King has been nominated for multiple Grammy awards and won an Academy of Country Music Award for "Fooled Around and Fell in Love" in 2020. Despite her success, she has maintained a close relationship with her son, Lucky Levi, and her partner, Tooker. The arrival of their new baby boy will undoubtedly bring even more joy and love to their family.
