LOS ANGELES – The Indiana Fever won, 78-73, against the Los Angeles Sparks (1-3) at Crypto.com Arena on Friday night. Indiana erased an 11-point halftime deficit to earn their first victory of the 2024 season.

The Fever started the game slowly, shooting just 30% from the field in the first half. The Sparks, meanwhile, took advantage of Indiana's poor shooting and raced out to a 11-point lead by halftime.

But the Fever came out of the locker room a different team in the second half. They shot 50% from the field in the third quarter and cut the Sparks' lead to just four points heading into the fourth quarter.

In the fourth quarter, the Fever continued to chip away at the Sparks' lead. With just over two minutes remaining, Aaliyah boston hit a jumper to give the Fever their first lead of the game, 76-73.

The Sparks had a chance to tie the game in the final seconds, but Nneka Ogwumike's three-pointer bounced off the rim. The Fever rebounded the ball and secured the victory.

Breanna Stewart led the Fever with 22 points and 10 rebounds. Boston added 18 points and eight rebounds.

Ogwumike led the Sparks with 20 points and 12 rebounds. Chiney Ogwumike added 16 points and six rebounds.

The Fever will return to action on Sunday when they host the Dallas Wings at Indiana Farmers Coliseum. The Sparks will host the Seattle Storm on Monday at Crypto.com Arena.
