Hannity Decries Democrats' 'Hatred and Loathing' at DNC

Fox News host Sean Hannity accused the Democrats of fostering an atmosphere of "hatred and loathing" at their national convention, claiming that they want Americans to hate former President Donald Trump.

Fox News host Sean Hannity launched a scathing attack on the Democratic National Convention (DNC), accusing the party of promoting "hatred and loathing" and hoping that Americans would hate former President Donald Trump as much as they do.

"Despite a promise of happiness and joy, the theme in this building all week has frankly been nothing but hatred and loathing," Hannity said on his show "Hannity" on Thursday.

"Democrats (are) hoping that you hate Donald Trump as much as they do and that has been, and remains, the theme every single night, and it will be so tonight," he added.

According to Hannity, the Democrats want Americans to hate Trump so much that they will vote against their own best interests, such as policies that would improve the economy, secure the borders, restore law and order, and lower energy prices.

"They want you to hate Donald Trump so much, you will even vote against what is in your own best interest," Hannity asserted.

Hannity also claimed that the Democrats are hoping that the "hatred" for Trump will blind Americans to the "Biden-Harris border crisis."

"They hope that your hatred of Trump will blind you to the Biden-Harris border crisis," he said.

Hannity's comments echoed those of other conservative commentators, who have accused the Democrats of trying to divide and polarize the country.

However, Democrats have defended their convention, arguing that it is a celebration of the party's values and policies. They have also pointed to Trump's own inflammatory rhetoric and behavior as a source of division.

The DNC, which began on Monday, has featured a lineup of speakers who have praised the party's presidential nominee, Joe Biden, and criticized Trump's handling of the COVID-19 pandemic, the economy, and other issues.

The convention will conclude on Thursday night with a speech from Biden, who is expected to outline his vision for the country and challenge Trump's leadership.
