Hannity Slams 'Kangaroo Court' in Stormy Daniels Testimony

Fox News host Sean Hannity has unleashed a scathing attack on the ongoing trial against former President Donald Trump, labeling it a "kangaroo court" following the testimony of adult film star Stormy Daniels.

Hannity, who has been a vocal supporter of Trump throughout his presidency, took aim at the prosecution's decision to call Daniels to the stand. He argued that her testimony, which was primarily focused on her alleged affair with Trump, was irrelevant to the case and served only to tarnish the former president's reputation.

"This nothing-but-bogus, politically motivated trial against Donald Trump has gone totally, completely off the rails," Hannity declared on his show. "We still have not heard from the prosecution's star witness, the convicted felon, notorious liar, Michael Cohen."

Hannity pointed to Daniels' admission that she had been prepped by the prosecution before taking the stand. He accused them of providing her with "leading questions" and "spoon-feeding" her answers.

"Wasn't that nice of them to prepare her?" Hannity exclaimed sarcastically. "It's almost like they were trying to put words in her mouth."

Hannity also criticized Daniels' demeanor during her testimony, describing it as "horrifying" and "inappropriate." He accused her of making graphic and sexually explicit statements that were irrelevant to the case.

"They had her tell jokes that were so gross, so vulgar, that even fake news CNN couldn't believe what they were hearing," Hannity said.

Hannity's comments reflect the growing partisan divide over the trial against Trump. Supporters of the former president have condemned the prosecution as politically motivated and unfair, while Democrats have hailed the trial as an opportunity to hold Trump accountable for his alleged crimes.

It remains to be seen whether Daniels' testimony will have any impact on the outcome of the trial. However, Hannity's passionate defense of Trump suggests that the former president's supporters will continue to rally behind him, regardless of the allegations against him.

In the cross-examination of Daniels, the defense team attempted to discredit her testimony by pointing out inconsistencies in her previous statements. They also questioned the credibility of her former lawyer, Michael Avenatti, who had arranged the payment of $130,000 to Daniels from Trump's personal lawyer, Michael Cohen.

Despite the defense's efforts to undermine Daniels' credibility, she remained steadfast in her allegations against Trump. She denied that she had fabricated the affair or that she had been paid to lie.

The trial is expected to continue for several more weeks. It is unclear at this time whether Trump will testify in his own defense. The outcome of the trial could have significant implications for Trump's future, as well as for the ongoing political divide in the United States.
