"Peanut butter and jelly are staples in many households, but for some families, they are a luxury," said Bangor Savings Bank President and CEO Bob Montgomery. "Through our Peanut Butter and Jelly Drive, we can help provide these essential items to those who need them most."

Last year, the drive collected over 13,000 jars of peanut butter and jelly, which were distributed to food pantries across Maine. This year, the bank hopes to surpass that number and provide even more support to local communities.

"We are grateful to our customers and community partners for their continued support of this important initiative," said Montgomery. "Together, we can make a difference in the lives of families who are struggling to put food on the table."

Customers can donate jars of peanut butter and jelly at any Bangor Savings Bank branch during regular business hours. Donations can also be made online at www.bangorsavingsbank.com/peanutbutterjelly.

In addition to collecting peanut butter and jelly, Bangor Savings Bank is also accepting monetary donations. Every dollar donated will be used to purchase additional jars of peanut butter and jelly.

"Even a small donation can make a big difference," said Montgomery. "By working together, we can ensure that everyone in our community has access to nutritious food."

The Peanut Butter and Jelly Drive is part of Bangor Savings Bank's ongoing commitment to fighting hunger in Maine. The bank has donated over $2 million to food pantries and other hunger-relief organizations since 2010.

"We are proud to be a part of the solution to hunger in Maine," said Montgomery. "We encourage everyone to join us in supporting this important drive."
