Country star Jason Aldean and his wife, Brittany, have found a harmonious balance between their thriving family life and Jason's demanding country music career. With a "pretty good system" in place, they navigate the challenges of parenting, touring, and supporting each other's ambitions.
As Jason Aldean embarks on the second leg of his "Highway Desperado Tour," he carries with him not only his guitar but also a deep sense of contentment in his personal life. The 47-year-old country star has spent two decades on buses and stages, but it's the recent years, with his family by his side, that have brought him the most fulfillment.
"We're on the same page," Aldean says of his wife, Brittany. "She knows the lifestyle... that she kind of signed up for. And she's been, you know, a great fit for that. She knows the drill at this point."
This sense of partnership extends to all aspects of their lives, both personal and professional. Aldean credits Brittany for their strong marriage, saying they "lean on each other" and handle everything "as a team."
Brittany's presence has not only enriched Aldean's personal life but also influenced his career. She became his "hype man" and unwavering supporter, giving him the confidence to pursue his passions.
Aldean's journey to finding a harmonious balance between family and career has not been without its challenges. Blending their families was a complex process, but over time, they have created a strong and loving unit.
"It took me a while to really kind of wrap my head around – is how to balance the whole family/career thing or whatever," admits Aldean. "And so it's gotten to a point now where... Everything we do is sort of a family event. And I kind of leave that up to my wife."
With Brittany's help, they have developed a system that allows them to spend ample time together while managing Aldean's demanding tour schedule.
"We have a pretty good system in place now and makes it easier for me," says Aldean. "The kids don't have to be away from us as much."
This system has proven invaluable, allowing Aldean to maintain a strong connection with his children while pursuing his musical dreams.
"I got the whole squad out here," Aldean says of the family's recent trip to Texas for the Academy of Country Music Awards.
Aldean's admiration for his wife extends beyond her role as a wife and mother. He praises her independence and drive, qualities that have served as an inspiration to him.
"Brittany has her own thing going on, and she's very successful at it," says Aldean. "She's her own boss, and she's very good at what she does."
This mutual respect and support have created a solid foundation for their marriage, allowing them to weather any storms that come their way.
As Aldean continues his tour, he carries with him a sense of gratitude for the balance he has found in his life. He loves his music, but it's the time with his family that truly fulfills him.
"I've probably spent more time on a bus than I have at my house," says Aldean. "It's my happy place."
