In a press conference in Cochise County, Arizona, Republican vice presidential candidate Sen. JD Vance lambasted the Biden-Harris administration's handling of the US-Mexico border. Vance claimed that Vice President Kamala Harris, who has been appointed as the border czar, has failed to address the ongoing crisis.
"Vice President Harris has utterly failed to secure our border," Vance said. "Her policies have led to increased illegal immigration, drug trafficking, and human smuggling. It is time for her to change course."

During the same press conference, CNN correspondent Steve Contorno asked Vance about former President Trump's recent comments about Harris' race. Trump had suggested that Harris had not identified as Black until recently.
