Jennifer Garner's first San Diego Comic Con experience turned into an unexpected adventure when she found herself trapped in an elevator for over an hour. The actress, who was at the convention to support her cameo role in "Deadpool and Wolverine," shared a series of videos documenting her ordeal on her Instagram account.

In the videos, Garner starts by jokingly asking for a Wolverine or Deadpool to help her out of her predicament, which had lasted for two minutes at that point. As time went on, she started to get a little claustrophobic and sweaty, joking that she needed to "blot."

To pass the time, Garner started singing "99 Bottles of Beer on the Wall" and then Madonna's "Like A Prayer," which is prominently featured in "Deadpool and Wolverine." At the 45-minute mark, she was still trapped and getting increasingly frustrated.

After an hour and twelve minutes, firefighters arrived to crack open the doors, prompting cheers from Garner and her team. She later joked that she had become an expert at elevator safety and had learned the importance of always having a snack and a flashlight on hand.

Despite her elevator mishap, Garner made it to the Hall H screening of "Deadpool & Wolverine" on Thursday night, joining Ryan Reynolds, Hugh Jackman, Chris Evans, Channing Tatum, and Wesley Snipes on stage to talk about their cameos.

Garner reprised her role of Elektra, which she first played in the 2003 film "Darevdevil" and its solo spin-off "Elektra." In "Deadpool & Wolverine," she gets in a joke about her ex-husband Ben Affleck, who played Daredevil in the original film.

When Deadpool learns that some previous Marel characters in the story didn't survive, including Affleck's Daredevil, he offers his condolences. Garner's Elektra shrugs and says, "Oh, it's fine."

Garner and Affleck, who were married from 2005 to 2018, share three children. Despite their divorce, they have maintained a friendship and amicable co-parenting relationship.
