Schneider told Fox News Digital that he held the dress that Alicia had planned to wear during the ceremony, a poignant gesture that celebrated her presence even though she was physically absent.
"I held my late wife's dress that she had planned to wear to our daughter's wedding," Schneider said. "It was a beautiful, emotional moment that made me feel like she was there with us in spirit."
The wedding ceremony was a joyous occasion, but it was also a bittersweet reminder of Alicia's absence. Schneider admitted that he was initially apprehensive about attending the wedding, fearing that it would be too painful.
"I wasn't sure how I was going to feel," Schneider said. "But when I saw my daughter walk down the aisle, I was filled with such joy and happiness for her. It was a day that celebrated new beginnings, but it also honored the memory of my wife."
Schneider and Alicia, a veteran producer and actress, met in 2014 and married in 2019. They worked closely together on several film and music projects, including the patriotic film "To Die For," which was released in October 2022.
Alicia's battle with cancer was a difficult journey for Schneider, but it also brought them closer together. Schneider became Alicia's manager and caretaker, providing unwavering support throughout her illness.
"Alicia was the love of my life," Schneider said. "She was my soulmate and my best friend. I miss her every day, but I know that she would want me to be happy. She would want me to continue living my life to the fullest."
In the wake of Alicia's passing, Schneider has found solace in his work. He released a tribute album titled "We're Still Us" in November, which features songs that he wrote about his love for Alicia and their journey together.
Schneider has also co-written a book with Alicia titled "In the Driver's Seat: Love, Loss & Living with No Regrets," which details their experience with cancer and offers advice on being a proactive patient.
"I wanted to share our story with others who are facing similar challenges," Schneider said. "I wanted to let them know that they are not alone and that there is hope."
Schneider is grateful for the love and support he has received from his family, friends, and fans. He knows that Alicia would be proud of the man he has become and the work that he is doing to help others.
"I'm taking each day one step at a time," Schneider said. "I'm living for myself and for Alicia. I know that she's watching over me and that she's with me every step of the way."
