Harris' response highlighted several achievements of the Biden-Harris administration, including investments in infrastructure, industries, and international relations.

This highly anticipated interview marked Harris' first public appearance since becoming the presumptive Democratic nominee 39 days ago. She was accompanied by her running mate, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz.

Since her elevation to the Democratic ticket, Harris has largely shied away from the media, infrequently answering questions on the campaign trail and avoiding press conferences.

Meanwhile, President Biden has spent the previous weeks vacationing in California and Delaware.
