A Kentucky woman's rampage left three people dead, including her husband and sister, before she was killed by her brother in a shootout, police said.

Angela Gosser, 56, allegedly drove to her brother's house on May 3 in Jamestown, Kentucky, with a gun and forced her way into the home. Her brother, Darryl Wilson, 58, was home at the time and, according to a Kentucky State Police press release, also had a gun.

Police said the siblings engaged in a shootout that ended with Gosser dead. Wilson was injured and taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The extent of Gosser's crime spree became apparent when authorities performed a welfare check at the home of her sister, Jennifer Wilson. Her family reported being unable to contact her and feared for her safety.

Upon arriving at the home in Russell County, authorities discovered Jennifer Wilson's body in the driver's seat of her Toyota Camry with gunshot wounds to the head. Police believe Gosser intercepted Jennifer Wilson before the incident at her brother's house and shot her multiple times through the passenger side window, leaving her for dead.

Tragically, Gosser's rampage did not end there. Her husband, Larry Gosser, was found shot and killed in western Pulaski County. Larry Gosser, a retired Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Sergeant, was working on a tree when his wife allegedly shot him.

Pulaski County Sheriff Bobby Jones stated that the investigation into the motive for the killings is ongoing. Police are searching for clues and interviewing witnesses to determine what led to this horrific incident.

Investigators have not yet announced a motive for the shootings. The Pulaski County Sheriff's Office did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital's request for comment.

According to Larry Gosser's obituary, he was an avid outdoorsman who loved fishing, hunting, and spending time with family and friends.

Family members of Jennifer Wilson expressed their shock and disbelief at the tragedy. They described her as a loving and caring woman who would be deeply missed.

The triple homicide has shaken the community, and authorities are urging anyone with information to contact law enforcement.

As the investigation continues, the victims' families grieve the loss of their loved ones and seek answers to the senseless violence that erupted in their lives.
