The book reveals that Charles has expressed regret over certain aspects of Harry's upbringing, particularly the impact of his and Diana's divorce and subsequent media scrutiny on the young prince.
Seward also reports that Prince Harry recently turned down an invitation from King Charles to stay at a royal residence while in the U.K. for the 10th anniversary of the Invictus Games. Charles reportedly agreed to Harry's request for a private residence rather than a hotel, but Harry declined due to the lack of security arrangements.
British broadcaster and photographer Helena Chard expressed concern about Harry's decision, stating that he would have received armed security at a royal palace and suggesting that he may have underlying issues related to his mother. However, author Christopher Andersen disputed the claim that Harry refused the invitation, arguing that Harry would have taken any opportunity to meet with his father.
