Fox News host Laura Ingraham has launched a scathing attack on Vice President Kamala Harris' definition of freedom, accusing her of crafting a "phony" narrative ahead of the 2024 election.
In a segment on "The Ingraham Angle," Ingraham tore into Harris' recent speech, in which she proclaimed that Democrats are the party of freedom.

"Don't be fooled for a second," Ingraham said. "Her definition of freedom is just another Orwellian distortion."
Ingraham pointed to several specific freedoms that Harris failed to mention, including the freedom to choose where to send children to school and the freedom to drive the vehicle of choice.
"They'll never give you that freedom," Ingraham said. "Or the freedom to practice your faith without harassment."
Ingraham also accused Democrats of being the party that "forced the country into lockdown" and imposed "masks, mandates, and vaccines" on the population.
"Kamala Harris and her entire party care about one thing," Ingraham said. "They want to control every aspect of your life that's not connected to abortion — or maybe porn, maybe gambling."
Ingraham concluded by stating that "freedom is the furthest thing from their mind."
Harris' speech has been widely criticized by Republicans, who have accused her of ignoring the concerns of ordinary Americans.
In an interview with Fox News, Republican National Committee (RNC) Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel said that Harris' speech was "tone-deaf" and "out of touch" with the American people.
"The Democrats are out of touch with reality," McDaniel said. "They're focused on their own radical agenda instead of the issues that matter to the American people."
Harris' supporters, meanwhile, have defended her speech, arguing that she is simply standing up for the values that Americans hold dear.
"Kamala Harris is a champion for the American people," said Democratic National Committee (DNC) Chairman Jaime Harrison. "She's fighting for the rights and freedoms that all Americans deserve."
The debate over Harris' definition of freedom is likely to continue in the lead-up to the 2024 election, as both parties seek to define what it means to be a true American.
