Wolves had taken the lead through Hee-chan Hwang in the 25th minute, capitalizing on a defensive lapse by Liverpool. The South Korean striker latched onto a through ball and slotted it past Alisson to give the hosts a deserved advantage.

However, Liverpool responded positively and leveled the score just before halftime. Sadio Mané pounced on a loose ball in the Wolves penalty area and found the net with a neat finish.
The second half saw Liverpool dominate possession but struggle to create clear-cut chances. Wolves defended resolutely, but a rash challenge by Max Kilman on Salah inside the box gave the Reds a golden opportunity to take the lead.
Salah stepped up and calmly sent the penalty past Jose Sa, handing Liverpool a valuable three points despite their unconvincing display.

Despite their unconvincing performance, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp expressed relief at securing the win.
"It was a difficult game," Klopp admitted. "We struggled to find our rhythm, but we showed great character to come back and win. We're not playing at our best at the moment, but we're grinding out results, which is important."
Wolves manager Bruno Lage was disappointed with the result but praised his team's performance.
"I thought we played very well," Lage said. "We created good chances, and we deserved something from the game. But unfortunately, we made a mistake for the penalty, and it cost us."
Liverpool will face Bournemouth at Anfield in their next Premier League fixture, while Wolves will travel to Tottenham Hotspur.
