Madden 25's 99 Club: Mahomes Ties Brady, Kelce Sets TE Record

Patrick Mahomes joins Tom Brady with four 99 Club honors in Madden, while Travis Kelce becomes the most-revered tight end in the game's history.

Patrick Mahomes has matched Tom Brady's feat of being named to the 99 Club in Madden four times during their illustrious NFL careers. The Kansas City Chiefs star earned the coveted rating in this year's Madden 25, marking his fourth such honor.

Despite reaching Brady's milestone, Mahomes still trails the all-time record for 99 Club nods, which is held by recently retired defensive tackle Aaron Donald with seven. Peyton Manning holds the quarterback record with six.

However, Mahomes is not the Chiefs' most-celebrated 99 Club member. Travis Kelce holds that distinction, having earned his fifth such honor, the most ever for a tight end. Kelce's former Chiefs teammate, Tyreek Hill, was the first player named to the club for this year's game, becoming the first receiver in franchise history to receive a 99 overall rating.

Other players joining the elite group this year include San Francisco 49ers running back Christian McCaffrey and offensive tackle Trent Williams. McCaffrey is a Madden 25 cover star, while Williams is regarded as one of the league's best left tackles.

Despite having a challenging regular season by his standards, Mahomes led the Chiefs to their third Super Bowl win in five years, showcasing his brilliance in the postseason with strong performances throughout. He finished the regular season with 4,183 passing yards, 27 touchdowns, and 14 interceptions, along with 389 rushing yards.

Kelce, despite experiencing his lowest receiving yards in eight years, continued to be a reliable target for Mahomes, especially in the postseason. He recorded 32 receptions for 355 yards and three touchdowns in four playoff games, including standout performances in the AFC Championship Game and Super Bowl.

Other notable Madden 25 ratings include Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson (98 overall), Dallas Cowboys wide receiver CeeDee Lamb (96 overall), and Cleveland Browns running back Nick Chubb (96 overall). George Kittle of the 49ers is the second-highest rated tight end behind Kelce (97 overall).

In the defensive realm, Chris Jones of the Chiefs is the highest-rated defensive lineman (97 overall), followed closely by Dexter Lawrence II of the New York Giants (95 overall). Micah Parsons of the Cowboys and Myles Garrett of the Browns are the top edge rushers, falling just one point short of the 99 Club with 98 overall ratings.

The highest-rated cornerback is Sauce Gardner of the New York Jets (97 overall), with Jalen Ramsey of the Dolphins trailing closely behind (96 overall).
