In the ongoing investigation into Matthew Perry's death, court documents obtained by Fox News Digital reveal that Jasveen Sangha, known as the "Ketamine Queen," may have used a code name when discussing drug purchases with the late actor.

In the ongoing investigation into Matthew Perry's death, court documents obtained by Fox News Digital have shed light on a possible code name used by Jasveen Sangha, known as the "Ketamine Queen," during conversations involving the purchase and delivery of ketamine to the late actor.

According to the documents, Sangha referred to Perry using the name of a well-known character that the actor portrayed in a television series. Perry, best known for his beloved character Chandler Bing on the hit sitcom "Friends," died on Oct. 28, 2023, from "acute effects of ketamine."

On Aug. 15, five people, including Sangha, Erik Fleming, Perry's assistant Kenneth Iwamasa and two doctors, were arrested and charged with multiple counts related to Perry's death. Prosecutors allege that the defendants distributed approximately 20 vials of ketamine to Perry for $50,000 in cash and later sold another 50 vials for $11,000 in cash.

Erik Fleming's plea agreement, also obtained by Fox News Digital, reveals that Sangha, Iwamasa and Fleming attempted to conceal evidence of the drug transactions. Sangha instructed Fleming to delete text messages between them and update Signal settings to automatically delete messages.

On Oct. 30, two days after Perry's death, Fleming and Iwamasa discussed removing evidence. Iwamasa stated that he had "cleaned up the scene" and "deleted everything," including syringes and ketamine vials.

On the morning of Oct. 28, Iwamasa administered a shot of ketamine to Perry around 8:30 a.m. By 12:45 p.m., Perry requested another injection while watching a movie. Approximately 40 minutes later, he asked for a third injection. Iwamasa left to run errands and returned to find Perry "face down" in the jacuzzi, deceased.

Perry's autopsy report listed "acute effects of ketamine" as the cause of death, with drowning, coronary artery disease and buprenorphine effects as contributing factors.

In an interview with The Times, "Friends" co-creator David Crane revealed that Perry had been using drugs at certain points during the show's run, something the late actor had been open about. "By the time we became aware of it, we were already a family on a lot of levels," Crane said.

Despite being aware of Perry's struggles, the cast and crew supported his decision to continue on the show. "There was a point where we said to him: ‘Do you want to stop [being in the show]?’ And he was adamantly like: ‘No, this is really important to me.’"

Perry famously acknowledged in 2022 that staying on "Friends" likely saved his life. "The fact that I would trade it all to not have this disease is true," he told People magazine. "But I don't belittle how fun the experience has been on ‘Friends.’ And the money was amazing. Just the creative experience of being on ‘Friends’ probably saved my life."
