A New Jersey woman, Alexandria Chmiel, was found alive after going missing in Nashville early Thursday morning. Chmiel, 33, was visiting Music City with a friend when she went missing around 3:42 a.m. on July 25.
The Nashville Metropolitan Police Department (NMPD) initiated an exhaustive search for Chmiel, including drone and rope operations by the Nashville Fire Department. The search focused on the riverbank at 1st & Woodland, where she was last seen on downtown cameras.

After an extensive search, Chmiel was discovered at the riverbank and immediately assessed by NFD crews. She was then transported to the hospital as a precaution but did not sustain any serious injuries.
In a statement to Fox News Digital, an NMPD spokesperson said, "No foul play was involved" and that "detectives were on the scene and spoke to her."

Chmiel's discovery comes as a relief after another woman, 22-year-old college student Riley Strain, went missing in Nashville in March under similar circumstances. Strain's body was later found in the Cumberland River, and investigations concluded that there were no signs of trauma or foul play.
In light of Strain's case, bars in the area where she went missing were investigated by the Tennessee Alcoholic Beverage Commission. However, the establishments were cleared of any wrongdoing.
