Help combat hunger in the Tri-State area by donating to the NBC 4 New York / WNBC, Telemundo 47 / WNJU, and Stop & Shop food drive on June 1.
NEW YORK, NY – (May 20, 2024) – NBC 4 New York / WNBC, Telemundo 47 / WNJU, and Stop & Shop will host a large-scale food drive on Saturday, June 1, to support local food banks and pantries in the Tri-State area.
The food drive will take place from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM at all Stop & Shop locations in New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut. NBC 4 New York and Telemundo 47 on-air personalities and reporters will be on-hand at select locations to collect donations and encourage community participation.
Donations of non-perishable food items, such as canned goods, pasta, rice, and cereal, are greatly needed. Monetary donations will also be accepted. Every dollar donated equals four meals for hungry families in the Tri-State area.

Stop & Shop has a long history of supporting local food banks and pantries. Through its Fight Hunger. Spark Change. program, the company has donated more than $30 million to hunger-relief organizations since its inception in 2011.
Last year's food drive collected over 50,000 pounds of food for local hunger-relief organizations. This year, the goal is to surpass that number.
