"The President was responsible for protecting our border, a fundamental obligation of any nation-state, but he neglected to take prompt action," Ryan stated firmly.

"In the last month, illegal border crossings have indeed decreased compared to the end of the Trump administration at the same time," Ryan acknowledged. "While we are making progress, we must restore order at the border, and I believe Harris understands this."
The Harris campaign has not yet provided a response to Fox News Digital's request for comment.
