NFL Legend Terrell Davis Unjustly Removed from United Airlines Flight by FBI

Hall of Fame running back Terrell Davis was handcuffed and escorted off a United Airlines flight by FBI agents after a false accusation by a flight attendant. Davis's family witnessed the humiliating incident, and an investigation has determined that the flight attendant's account was inaccurate.

On July 13, Denver Broncos Hall of Famer Terrell Davis was unjustly removed from a United Airlines flight by FBI agents after a false accusation by a flight attendant. Davis was handcuffed and escorted off the plane, while his wife, Tamiko, and two minor children watched in horror.

According to Davis, the incident occurred during beverage service when the flight attendant asked his sons for their drink orders. When they did not respond immediately, Davis calmly tapped the flight attendant's arm to get his attention. However, the flight attendant falsely accused Davis of hitting him.

The video footage, which was obtained by Fox News, does not show the initial interaction between Davis and the flight attendant. Instead, it begins with an FBI agent speaking to Davis, who eventually gets up out of his seat. The agent places his right hand on Davis' right shoulder-blade, after giving a tablet to a woman, while they walk off the plane together.

It is unclear whether Davis is handcuffed in the video. However, Parker Stinar, managing partner of Stinar Gould Grieco & Hensley, which is representing Davis, said in a statement that the video confirms the "harrowing tale" of Davis being apprehended in front of his family and other passengers.

Davis described the flight as "ordinary" until the beverage service incident. He said he was reading a magazine while his sons were preoccupied with their tablets. When the flight attendant asked his sons for their drink orders, they did not respond quickly enough. Davis said the flight attendant's tone became more aggressive, which prompted him to tap the flight attendant's arm to get his attention.

Davis said in a statement on Monday that law enforcement determined the flight attendant's retelling of the events was "inaccurate" and they "profusely apologized." United Airlines released a statement, according to ABC, stating that the flight attendant was removed from duty as they investigate the incident.

Davis, 51, said it was a "disgusting display of injustice and deplorable treatment." He said he felt demoralized, embarrassed, and humiliated. He wants United Airlines to be held accountable for the incident.
