Comedian Nikki Glaser has shed light on the behind-the-scenes decisions that went into crafting the jokes for Tom Brady's Netflix roast, revealing that some topics were considered off-limits, including references to his children.

In an interview with Howard Stern on his SiriusXM Radio show, Glaser explained that the comedians present agreed not to involve Brady's children in their material out of respect for their privacy. "We all collectively just decided not to involve his kids too much in anything because they didn't ask for that," she said.

Glaser acknowledged that she had other jokes in her arsenal but chose to avoid any references to Brady's children. "I couldn't say, 'Tom, hopefully we make out at the after-party. You can pretend I'm your son.' You know, the reference to him kissing his son," she explained.

The comedian further emphasized that everyone agreed it didn't feel right to target his children, especially considering they have not chosen to be in the public eye like their father. Brady has three children: one with actress Bridget Moynahan and two with his wife, supermodel Gisele Bündchen.

Glaser's decision to refrain from jokes about Brady's children was echoed by other comedians involved in the roast. Drew Bledsoe, who delivered a memorable joke about Brady's wife, Bündchen, later told Fox News Digital that he also avoided any references to the children.

"I think we all had an understanding that, look, this is about having fun and giving Tom a hard time, but there are certain lines you don't cross," Bledsoe said. "His kids are off-limits."

Former NFL star Shawne Merriman, who attended the roast, praised the comedians for their collective decision to protect Brady's children. "I think they broke the mold on censorship," Merriman told Fox News Digital. "In today's society where everything is so censored, it's refreshing to see comedians still have the freedom to tell jokes without fear of reprisal."

Ultimately, the roast went on without a hitch, with the comedians delivering a barrage of jokes directed at Brady himself. Former teammates, opponents, and even his wife, Bündchen, took turns mocking the legendary quarterback. However, the decision to keep his children out of the line of fire served as a reminder that even in the world of comedy, certain boundaries should be respected.
