The video shows the 37-year-old suspect stealthily approaching the unsuspecting couple from behind around 2:40 p.m. The apparent targets were a woman holding a dog leash and a man who was riding a scooter with his foot in a medical boot.
As the suspect drew closer, he discarded his jacket on the ground and lunged at the man from behind. The male victim responded with swift reflexes, wrestling his attacker to the pavement and unleashing a barrage of punches. The woman, not to be outdone, joined the fray, kicking the mugger relentlessly in the back.
