Babb, who also captained the team in 2021 and 2022, shared his personal journey of finding peace and purpose through faith. "This event was truly to bring true joy and peace that I believe in, that I think we all believe that can truly only be found in Jesus Christ," he told "Fox & Friends."

Current Buckeye players who contributed to the organization of the event brought 10,000 Bibles to distribute, eager to share their experiences of how faith has strengthened their bond as a team and guided them through life's challenges.

Speakers at the rally included wide receiver Emeka Egbuka, running back TreVeyon Henderson, tight end Gee Scott, defensive end J.T. Tuimoloau, and former team running back Master Teague. They shared their testimonies of finding hope and healing through their relationship with God.

Egbuka, in particular, emphasized the importance of repentance and believing in the gospel of Jesus Christ. "He says that he gives those that believe in his name and believes in what he did on the cross the right to be children of God," Egbuka said.

Over 50 baptisms took place during the rally, a testament to the transformative power of the faith that was shared. Babb expressed his gratitude for the outpouring of spiritual renewal and healing that he witnessed.

"God truly showed up on the Columbus campus," Babb said. "He delivered. He saved. And he healed a lot of great people that we're in a hurting position, just like I was my whole life before I met him."

The event, held in collaboration with local churches, drew an estimated 800-1,000 people, creating a sense of unity and a reminder of the power of faith to bring hope and healing.

Babb's mother, in an online post, estimated that over 2,000 people were in attendance, a testament to the widespread impact of the rally.

"Whatever you’re going through in life — whatever you’ve been through — I’m telling you there’s a God that desires you," Babb told the crowd. "So as we get into this worship, as we get into everything, we pray that you would see Him as He sees you."

The rally served as a reminder of the importance of faith in the lives of young athletes and the broader campus community. It demonstrated the power of faith to unite, inspire, and bring about spiritual transformation.
