The rain continued to fall for about an hour, but it eventually stopped and the tarp was removed. The grounds crew worked quickly to get the field ready for play, and the game was able to resume.
The Cardinals are hoping to win their third straight game and improve to 16-14 on the season. The Orioles are looking to snap a three-game losing streak and improve to 14-16.
