"In our area, there are home invasions and burglaries for the high-end and even the regular homes almost every single night," he told Fox News Digital. "This is something that is fixable."
The brazen nature of these burglaries has shocked residents. In Sherman Oaks, three suspects held a nanny at gunpoint during a home invasion, stealing thousands of dollars in luxury handbags and jewelry. The suspects then fled to nearby Compton, evading capture until their eventual arrest.

The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) has issued a community alert, warning residents in Bel Air, Holmby Hills, and Pacific Palisades of an organized burglary crew using sophisticated techniques to infiltrate homes. The suspects employ Wi-Fi jammers to disable home security cameras and communicate via handheld radios with getaway vehicles.
"Residential home invasions are deeply disturbing crimes that impact not only the victims but our entire community," District Attorney George Gascón said. "Our homes are meant to be sanctuaries."
