The Republican Jewish Coalition announces its largest-ever fundraising and expenditure program, totaling $20 million, to help former President Trump win the 2024 election.
The Republican Jewish Coalition (RJC), a prominent grassroots organization representing Jewish Republicans, has unveiled its largest-ever fundraising and expenditure campaign in support of a GOP presidential nominee. The organization aims to raise a minimum of $5 million through its donors and super PAC, the RJC Victory Fund, to aid former President Donald Trump in his 2024 White House bid against President Joe Biden.
"This will be the RJC's largest effort ever to mobilize support in the Jewish community for President Trump," said Sam Markstein, national political director of the RJC.
The announcement comes amidst widespread anti-Israel protests on college campuses across the country in response to Israel's conflict with Hamas in the Gaza Strip. While many Democrats appear divided over the demonstrations, Republicans are almost universally opposed, according to a recent Fox News poll.
"As antisemitism spikes to record highs and America's relationship with our ally Israel continues to reach new lows, the Jewish community is more energized than ever to turn the page from the failures, broken promises, and betrayals by Joe Biden," Markstein asserted.
The RJC, a four-decade-old organization, has long been a key player in Republican politics. Former casino magnate Sheldon Adelson served as a prominent leader and financial backer of the group. The RJC remained neutral during the 2024 GOP primary but ultimately endorsed Trump in early March after Nikki Haley dropped out of the race.
Polls suggest that while many Democrats are divided over the anti-Israel demonstrations, Republicans are nearly entirely united in opposition. The RJC's endorsement of Trump and its record-breaking fundraising effort reflect the deep support for the former president within the Jewish Republican community.
In addition to the $5 million fundraising goal, the RJC has pledged $15 million in independent expenditures, marking the largest such expenditure in the organization's history. Markstein emphasized that this financial commitment "will help to amplify President Trump's message of strength, security, and economic prosperity, and remind voters that Joe Biden has broken his promises and betrayed America."
The RJC's endorsement and financial support are significant boosts to Trump's campaign. The organization's deep roots in the Jewish community and its proven ability to mobilize voters will be crucial assets in November's election.
