Scarlett Johansson Jokes Colin Jost's 'Fly Me to the Moon' Cameo Is in Their Prenup

Scarlett Johansson revealed that her husband, Colin Jost, makes cameos in her films because it's in their prenuptial agreement. The actress joked that Jost has to "be there to support" her and appear in every one of her movies.

In a playful twist to the traditional prenuptial agreement, actress Scarlett Johansson has revealed that hers with comedian Colin Jost includes a clause ensuring his cameos in her films. On Monday night's episode of "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," Johansson shared that Jost's appearance in her upcoming movie, "Fly Me to the Moon," is not merely a coincidence.

"Greg Berlanti, our director, is a huge fan of Colin's," Johansson began. "Colin... I think he had to do it because it's, like, in our prenuptial agreement."

Johansson added with a mischievous smile, "If I ask him to do something, he has to be there to support me. He has to be in every one of my films."

Johansson and Jost exchanged vows in October 2020. The couple welcomed their first child, a son named Cosmo, in August 2021. Prior to marrying Jost, Johansson was married to actor Ryan Reynolds from 2008 to 2011 and French journalist Romain Dauriac from 2014 to 2017.

Johansson's previous marriages did not feature similar prenuptial clauses regarding film cameos, which makes her current arrangement with Jost all the more unique and humorous.

The actress has been candid about Jost's romantic proposal, describing it as a "James Bond situation" and "surprising." She praised Jost's charm, thoughtfulness, and romantic nature, adding that the proposal was a "very personal" and "special moment."

While Jost's involvement in Johansson's films adds a touch of levity and inside humor, the couple's relationship has also served as a source of inspiration for Johansson. She has shared that Jost helps her with her lines for films, although his serious interpretation of them doesn't always result in the desired performance.

"I run lines with him," Johansson said of her husband. "Which is great... you'd think that would be very convenient because you have a partner there to help you out. You learn your lines for tomorrow or whatever. He does, like, real serious... he really commits to the line reading."

"It's not always the performance I want it to be," she added. "I'm just like, 'Say the lines!' Big dramatic pauses. He gets really into it. I'm like, 'I can't focus. Forget it. I'll just learn them myself.'"

Despite the occasional hiccups in line rehearsals, Johansson and Jost's partnership remains strong and supportive, both on and off the screen. Their prenuptial agreement clause regarding cameos is not only a testament to their playful relationship but also a reminder that love and support can come in all forms, even in the realm of Hollywood films.

Johansson and Channing Tatum star in "Fly Me to the Moon," which is set to debut in theaters this Friday. The film is based on the 1969 Apollo 11 moon landing and promises to be an exciting and adventurous tale.
