In a self-recorded message posted to Instagram, Combs expressed disgust and remorse for his behavior, saying, "I was f---ed up. I mean I hit rock bottom. But I make no excuses. My behavior on that video is inexcusable."

The video, obtained exclusively by CNN, shows Combs running down a hallway only wearing a towel around his waist and socks. He can be seen throwing Ventura to the ground, kicking her twice, and then dragging her out of view.

The incident corroborates allegations made by Ventura in a lawsuit filed against Combs in November 2023, in which she accused him of physical and sexual abuse. The lawsuit was later dropped, and an undisclosed settlement was reached.

At the time of the filing, Combs' lawyer stated that the allegations were "offensive and outrageous" and that Ventura's demand for $30 million was "blatant blackmail."

In his apology video, Combs said, "I went and I sought out professional help. I had to go into therapy, and go to rehab... I'm so sorry. But I'm committed to [being] a better man each and every day."

Combs did not mention Ventura by name in his apology.

The Los Angeles District Attorney's office has confirmed that Combs cannot be prosecuted for the assault due to the statute of limitations.

Douglas Wigdor, Ventura's lawyer, told Fox News Digital, "The gut-wrenching video has only further confirmed the disturbing and predatory behavior of Mr. Combs."

Following the video's release and public outcry, Combs and Ventura reportedly reached an amicable settlement. Combs stated, "We have decided to resolve this matter amicably. I wish Cassie and her family all the best."

Sean 'Diddy' Combs and Cassie Ventura had an on-again, off-again relationship for several years before their final split in 2018.
