A Buffalo-area Burger King restaurant has closed indefinitely after a shocking incident where a customer's 4-year-old daughter found human blood on her meal. The disturbing discovery has left the family traumatized and prompted a health investigation.
Tiffany Floyd, a resident of Getzville, New York, shared her harrowing experience on TikTok, which went viral, capturing the attention of millions of viewers. According to Floyd, she and her daughter visited the drive-thru last Friday when they made the horrific discovery.

"My daughter said, 'Mommy, there's ketchup on my burger,'" Floyd recounted to WIVB News. "And I looked at it, and I was like, 'That's not ketchup.'"
Upon further inspection, the horrified mother realized that the substance was indeed blood. "It was inside the bag, on the toy, on the fries, everywhere," she described.

Floyd immediately instructed her daughter to discard the food and contacted the restaurant to complain. An employee explained that a staff member had accidentally cut themselves while preparing the food and offered a refund.
However, Floyd was far from satisfied. She filed a complaint with the local health department, prompting an investigation. The Niagara County sanitarian contacted the Getzville establishment to gather information.

Burger King issued a statement expressing their regret over the incident. "We were deeply upset and concerned to learn of this incident," the statement read. "We have been in contact with the guest and are working with her to resolve this incident."
The Getzville location was temporarily closed for cleaning and additional staff training. "We closed the restaurant to retrain all the team members and hired an external company to complete a deep cleaning," the statement added.
Floyd expressed her distress over the incident, noting that her daughter now requires monthly bloodwork to monitor for potential infections. The trauma has also affected her daughter emotionally, making her reluctant to eat.
"I try to give her food, she thinks there's blood in it," Floyd said.
Burger King has not yet responded to media inquiries for further comment. The incident underscores the importance of food safety and the need for restaurants to adhere to strict hygiene standards.
