In a bizarre incident, a 20-year-old Florida woman jumped into the ocean from a historic pier in an attempt to evade police after she and a man were caught engaging in sexual activity in public. On Memorial Day, around 4:30 p.m., Naples Police Department received multiple calls reporting a couple participating in a sexual act on Naples Pier. A police officer arrived at the scene and instructed the couple, 20-year-old Alyssia Razo and 23-year-old Zadok Westfield, to dress appropriately.
As the officer approached, Razo adjusted her swimsuit and abruptly stepped to the edge of the pier. Despite the officer's warning not to, she leaped into the water below. Razo swam northeast towards the beach, where she exited the water near Board Ave S beach end and was apprehended by beach patrol.
Westfield remained with the officer and provided an explanation. He stated that he and Razo had initially intended to swim to the end of the pier and jump off, but they instead opted to engage in sexual activity beyond a locked gate on the pier.
