Senator Ted Cruz (R-Texas) has vehemently criticized President Biden for his perceived lack of leadership in responding to the rising tide of anti-Semitism within the Democratic Party and on college campuses across the nation.

"Joe Biden and the entire Democrat Party leadership has been AWOL as we are seeing this horrific antisemitism erupting on college campuses across the country," Cruz asserted on the "Brian Kilmeade Show."

Cruz denounced the anti-Israel protests and anti-Semitic demonstrations as "disgusting" and "repulsive," fueled by individuals "whose minds have been poisoned" to hate Israel and the United States. He highlighted the incident at Columbia University, where the Orthodox rabbi advised Jewish students to remain at home due to the university's inability to guarantee their safety.

"That is utterly unacceptable," Cruz declared. "And the university administrators side with the radicals. They side with the protesters. And Joe Biden and Chuck Schumer, and the Democrat leadership is terrified of alienating the radical anti-Israel base."

He attributed Biden's silence to his fear of provoking the radical left within the Democratic Party.

"Joe Biden is basically in witness protection because he's unwilling to speak out and infuriate the radical left in the Democrat Party," Cruz said.

Cruz drew a parallel to President Dwight D. Eisenhower's decisive action against racist Democrats in the South who refused to integrate schools and protect African-American students. He called on Biden to demonstrate similar leadership by sending in the National Guard to restore order and protect Jewish students.

"Joe Biden is not willing to do anything," Cruz lamented. "And the reason is this is a growing part of the Democrat Party. There's a growing faction in the Democrat Party that hates Israel, that is openly antisemitic. And it's not just the 'Squad.'"

Cruz pointed to Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez's recent expression of support for anti-Semitic protesters at Columbia, NYU, and Yale universities, while Biden stood beside her "with a goofy grin."

"After facing days of criticism and calls for an address to the nation, Biden delivered brief remarks from the White House Thursday morning," the article continues.

Biden defended the right to protest but emphasized that "order must prevail" amidst the unrest on college campuses over the Gaza conflict. He rejected calls to deploy the National Guard and reiterated that the protests had not influenced his approach to the conflict.

"There should be no place on any campus, no place in America for antisemitism or threats of violence against Jewish students. There is no place for hate speech or violence of any kind, whether it's antisemitism, Islamophobia, or discrimination against Arab-Americans or Palestinian-Americans," Biden said.

Cruz, however, remained unconvinced by Biden's address, arguing that it lacked the necessary resolve to address the growing anti-Semitism.

"Think how different it would be with real presidential leadership," Cruz concluded. "That's what leadership would be. We need that kind of leadership from our president to stand up and say, 'This is unacceptable. We will not tolerate it.'"
