Tlaib's Aide Obstructs Fox Camera Operator at Anti-Israel Event

As Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-Mich.) denounced President Biden's handling of the Israel-Hamas conflict at a Detroit event, a person accompanying her reportedly attempted to block a Fox News camera operator with an umbrella. The event featured a speaker with ties to a designated terrorist organization and was funded by an organization linked to the Chinese Communist Party.

Rep. Rashida Tlaib's associate allegedly obstructed a Fox News camera operator at an anti-Israel event in Detroit, where she lambasted the Biden administration's stance on the Gaza conflict.

According to Fox News senior congressional correspondent Chad Pergram, the incident occurred as Tlaib entered the People's Conference for Palestine, held over the weekend. A person walking alongside her reportedly held an umbrella in front of the Fox camera lens, hindering the journalist's ability to capture footage.

The conference featured Wisam Rafeedie, an activist with connections to the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP), deemed a foreign terrorist organization by the United States. The organizer, The People's Forum, has organized anti-Israel protests following Hamas's attack on Southern Israel in October 2021.

The People's Forum is part of the "Singham Network," a collective of organizations tied to tech mogul Neville Roy Singham, based in Shanghai and believed to have ties to the Chinese Communist Party. Singham's CCP connections were highlighted in a Network Contagion Research Institute report earlier this month.

In her address, Tlaib accused President Biden of supporting Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, labeling him a "murderous war criminal." She criticized the administration's condemnation of campus protesters disrupting operations over their school's ties to Israel.

"It is disgraceful that the Biden administration and my colleagues in Congress continue to smear them for protesting to save lives no matter faith or ethnicity," Tlaib said. "It is cowardly."

Republican Representative Mike Lawler (R-N.Y.) condemned Tlaib's actions, calling for her removal from Congress. "Associating with and speaking before groups that are funded by US designated terrorist organizations is disqualifying," Lawler said.

Fox News contacted Tlaib's office for comment but had not received a response at the time of publication.

Tlaib's attendance at the event, allegedly funded by an organization linked to the CCP and attended by an activist linked to a terrorist organization, has drawn criticism from Republicans. Her comments on the Gaza conflict and her criticism of the Biden administration have further escalated tensions on Capitol Hill.
