"My first boob job, I had a friend at the time," she recounted. "It was the bad boyfriend I talk about, it was his friend's girlfriend, and she was like, ‘Oh you just have to go to this place.' I went to this doctor, and it was in a strip mall. I can't make this up."

Despite the unconventional location, Spelling praised the expertise of the surgeon. "I think he was a fine doctor," she stated. "It was just an outpatient surgery center in a strip mall. I was 19, so I was like, ‘Uh this isn't Beverly Hills,' I was confused."

"I was so affected by what I was seeing, which was, you know, I'm an actress, and the actresses I saw on film and television and magazines, they were all very busty," she said. "And so I was like, ‘Oh, okay, that's what I need to be.' I was just following the norm."
